Any child that will turn 5 by September 1st will be eligible for Kindergarten. If your child will turn 5 between September 2nd and December 2nd, they will be eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK). Please fill out the following packet and turn into the office to register your child for school for the first time:

If you have just moved to the Montgomery School District and need to register your child for school, you will need to fill out an enrollment form. You will also need to fill out a records request form for your child's previous school so that we may have their records transferred. Once the forms have been filled out, please turn them into the office.

The Montgomery Elementary School District accepts Interdistrict Transfer Requests from students in Transitional Kindergarten through Eighth Grade who live outside the Montgomery School District boundaries and wish to attend Montgomery Elementary School. The parent/guardian must first contact their school of residence to obtain a release from the district. Once obtained, Montgomery Elementary School will consider the request. If approved, Interdistrict Transfers are valid for 5 years.

Montgomery School District will begin accepting Interdistrict Transfers for the upcoming school year on February 1st. The district will continue to accept Interdistrict Transfers for new students year round; however, requests received earlier will ensure the best access to any available spaces. Students accepted to the district on an Interdistrict Transfer are required to sign an Interdistrict Transfer Agreement stating that they must have, and maintain, satisfactory attendance, effort, academic achievement and behavior, while attending Montgomery Elementary School District.
